Saving money sounds easy, but it seems to be a difficult task for many of us. You can save $1,000 or more in a year, without cutting out your daily coffee, with a few easy tips.
To begin with, all that advice suggesting that you can save a bundle by cutting out your daily coffee isn't all that helpful. Michelle Jones, founder of BetterBudgeting.com, a free newsletter that helps normal people get a handle on their debt and savings, suggests not giving that piece of advice too much weight.
"First of all, some people can perfectly afford to get a daily coffee without financial difficulty," Jones said. "Many other people are not in the habit of buying them, so it's not even an issue."
Cut Low-Priority Spending
Rather than focusing on a specific "cure-all" for all spenders, Jones suggests looking at your spending to find areas that you are comfortable altering or cutting out.
