Golden Gate residents wanting to quench their thirst or wash the dishes may have to dig deeper into their pockets come October.
Board members of Florida Government Utility Authority, which provides water and sewer treatment for Golden Gate and Lehigh Acres, are slated to meet and vote on a proposed 7.5 percent rate increase at 1 p.m. Thursday at Golden Gate Community Center, 4701 Golden Gate Parkway.
The meeting is a continuation of two public hearings Florida Government Utility Authority hosted Wednesday in Collier and Lee counties.
