Macy’s, Inc.’s board of directors has elected Amy Hanson as senior vice president for property development, effective immediately. She will be based in Cincinnati and report to Macy’s, Inc. Vice Chair Tom Cole.
Hanson, 49, previously was vice chairman and director of stores at Minneapolis-based Macy’s North and led the transition as Macy’s North was consolidated into the Macy’s East division this spring. In her new role, she will oversee a range of corporate-level functions, including store design and construction, real estate, energy services, sustainability, licensed operations, non-merchandise purchasing and foodservice (including in-store restaurants).
