A reshuffling of services at the U.S. Veterans Affairs campus in Wichita is pushing the agency's credit union into uncharted waters.
The 1,300-member VA Employees Credit Union will move in June to a new location away from the campus at 5500 E. Kellogg. The organization last week purchased a building at 804 S. Oliver, a former medical clinic.
It's less than a mile from the VA. But it's also the first time in 50 years the local credit union hasn't been located at the regional office.
For members, says president and CEO Sunny Nichelson, "this is kind of a hard sell for them."
