Having access to affordable financial services is a critical need for all residents of the state of Louisiana and throughout the entire nation. Sen. Mary Landrieu recently showed her belief and trust in the credit union movement by sponsoring CURIA, the Credit Union Regulatory Improvements Act (H.R. 1537) in the Senate.
At the recent Credit Union National Association Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C., Sen. Landrieu stepped out for the credit union industry and even more so for Louisiana credit unions and their l.l million members in her support and sponsorship of CURIA. Sen. Landrieu is truly a "credit union hero" and deserves to be recognized and thanked for her work on behalf of the citizens of our state.
