Bob Bahl has been named President and CEO of AgCountry Farm Credit Services. Bahl succeeds Eugene Smestad, who retired on March 31, after 31 years of service. Bahl served as President and CEO of Farm Credit Services of Grand Forks for 14 years. As part of the merger process between FCS of Grand Forks and AgCountry FCS, effective January 1, 2008, Bahl was named Chief Operating Officer of both organizations since April 1, 2007. Other positions held during his 28 year career with Farm Credit Services include tax specialist, VP of Administration, Chief Credit Officer and Executive VP. Originally from Mohall, N.D., Bahl is a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a degree in finance and accounting and is a CPA. He and his wife Kerry live in Fargo. They have three grown children and three grandchildren.
