• Aden Seidlitz was declared the new manager of the Boise District of the Bureau of Land Management March 17 by Idaho State Director Tom Dyer.
Seidlitz served most recently as chief of the fire planning and fuels management division at the National Interagency Fire Center, Boise. Seidlitz officially begins his new duties March 31.
• Julie Shiflett, Spokane, Wash., was also recently appointed to the Northwest Farm Credit Services board. She is vice president of finance and administration for Columbia Paint. She will serve a five-year term.
• Entomologist Lynn Kimsey, director of the R. M. Bohart Museum of Entomology and director of the Center for Biosystematics, was recently named interim chair of the University of California-Davis Department of Entomology. She will serve until July 2009. The chair is a rotational position shared among faculty.
